At present, the global output of refractory materials is about 45 million tons, and China's refractory output accounts for about 65% of the global refractory materials. Other output is mainly concentrated in countries and regions such as the European Union, the CIS, the United States, Japan, and South Korea.
The development of foreign refractory materials industry has the following characteristics:
1)Increase the concentration of refractory industry production through mergers and acquisitions, reorganization and elimination of backwardness.
In developed countries since the 1990s, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and natural elimination in the operation of the market economy have rapidly increased the concentration of production. For example, there were more than 100 refractory material manufacturers in Japan in the 1950s. Over the past few decades, through mergers and acquisitions, reorganization, bankruptcy in the tide of market economy, trademark cancellation and other forms, so far, there are only more than 60 refractory companies.
2)The growth of total refractory materials has gradually weakened, and the added value of products has steadily increased.
Under the premise that the demand for refractory materials is relatively stable, due to the continuous adjustment of the structure of refractory materials and the continuous improvement of product quality, the demand for refractory materials will be reduced, but the added value of products is still increasing steadily.
Developed countries such as the United States, Japan and Europe have shown a positive development trend in which the growth rate of refractory sales revenue is higher than the growth rate of refractory output. In particular, the output of refractory materials in some countries is declining year by year, while sales revenue is increasing year by year.
3)The refractory industry is developing towards the establishment of large-scale enterprise groups.
At present, through the mergers and acquisitions of hundreds of companies and their own development, the refractory industry has formed a number of large enterprise groups. Large-scale enterprise groups continue to increase the degree of intensification of production, and the industrial chain is gradually extended, and they use their strong economic and technical strength and brand advantages to seek greater profit margins.
